The Merriam’s turkey represents one of Montana’s most prized upland game birds and is also found right here in Garfield County.

Fishing Fort Peck

Fort Peck Reservoir is 134 miles long, spans (245,000 acres), and reaches depths of 220 feet. Fort Peck Reservoir offers some of the best fishing in the state of Montana, featuring a large variety of almost 50 different species, including trophy walleye, northern pike, and bass. Other species include paddlefish, sturgeon, catfish, salmon and many more. Go fishing from the shore or contact experienced local guides to host your next trip!

The Hell Creek Formation is an extensively studied geological formation known for some of the best dinosaur fossil attractions in the world, and is exposed in many areas near Jordan, Montana.
